Council skills matrix

The Philanthropy Australia Council works hard to optimise Council composition for effective leadership and governance. To this end a skills, experience and diversity matrix was established to help understand the strengths of, and gaps within the current Council, so we can ensure Council is representative of the broader community and contemporary philanthropy.

As at the start of 2017, Council would like to attract the following skills and profiles:

  • Cultural diversity
  • Indigenous
  • Finance
  • Gender balance
  • Age diversity
  • Government relations (policy and process)

In addition, Council Members need contemporary and future focused understanding of current practices and the potential for philanthropy.
