Impact100 SA was established in April 2014 by a passionate group of volunteers focused on working together to make a huge difference. Our aim is to provide high-impact grants to reach under-served populations and increase involvement in philanthropy in South Australia.
"To give away money is an easy matter and in any man’s power. But to decide to whom to give it and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man’s power nor an easy matter." Aristotle, 384-233 BC
Impact100 SA will make one major grant of $100,000 each year in an area defined by the organising committee.
The reason just one large grant is made each year is to ensure that extraordinary impact can be achieved in an area of identified need, to enable the successful organisation to take a significant leap forward in realising their vision. While only one organisation will be awarded the $100,000 grant, the other three shortlisted groups will gain an invaluable opportunity to profile their work to influential local people.
In 2015, Impact100 SA will be considering applications that focus on improving social and educational outcomes for South Australia’s disadvantaged children and young people.
While the grant recipients and the community benefit, so do the members in knowing that their contribution becomes part of a transformational grant, funding projects within local communities and improving quality of life.
Successful grant recipients benefit from raised public profiles, as do the other organisations whose projects are profiled through the grant selection process.
